FSA: We’re Hiring!

The Fernie Snowmobile Association is gearing up for another exciting winter in the Elk Valley — and we’re looking for passionate, reliable people to join our team! Whether you’re an experienced snowcat groomer operator or simply love connecting with people outdoors, we have two great seasonal opportunities available this winter.

Trailhead Guest Services Staff

Our Trailhead Guest Services staff are the friendly faces that welcome riders at the trailhead and keep our operations running smoothly. As a front-line ambassador of the FSA, you’ll work inside our warm, secure staging area kiosks helping riders purchase trail passes, answering questions, and supporting the daily operations of our trail network.

  • 18+ years of age

  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite under winter conditions (no public transit available)

  • Sales transaction handling experience and basic reporting skills

  • Friendly, outgoing personality — no snowmobiling experience required!

Snowcat Trail Groomer Operator

Our Snowcat Groomer Operators are essential to providing a safe, enjoyable backcountry trail network for riders throughout the Elk Valley. This position is ideal for experienced groomer operators who thrive working independently in a backcountry winter environment and are committed to safety and quality.

  • 18+ years of age

  • Minimum 2 years of snowcat grooming experience

  • Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 (AST 1) certification

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently in variable winter conditions
