Mar 1, 2024 FSA Grooming Report


CONDITIONS:

-2C at cabin elevation. Freezing line around 1300m. 12cm new snow in the past 24 hours. 83cm in the past 7 days. Total settled snowpack heights 239cm or more in mid to upper riding elevations.

Today: Mainly cloudy with a few flurries or snow showers during the morning.  Cloudy with a few flurries and possible sunny breaks during the afternoon.  Light accumulation, possible 4 to 8 cm.  High near -3. Tonight: Cloudy with clear breaks. A few flurries and possible snow showers during the evening, flurries or snow showers redeveloping near morning.  Light accumulation possible. Increasing wind.  Low near -13.


Conditions on last nights groom up Coal Creek, Mar 1th.

GROOMING:

Note: Freezing line around 1300m. Expect slushy or low snow conditions at valley bottom rapidly changing to ‘winter’ around this level.

Corbin: Open. Groomed Tuesday from staging area to McClatchie.

Coal Creek: Open. Groomed Coal Creek, Summit Trail, Doug Dean Trail, Martin groomed last night. Matheson groomed Tuesday.

Morrissey: Open. Morrissey and McEvoy Trail groomed last night. South Pipeline from Wranglers Cabin to the Notch groomed Friday.

Hartley: Open. Groomed Friday. We were not able to complete our scheduled groom yesterday due to significant avalanche hazard and the large slide paths affecting the trail. Expected next groom after March 4th.

Ram: Open.
