Feb 28, 2024 FSA Grooming Report


CONDITIONS:

-7C at cabin elevation. 17cm new snow in the past 24 hours. 46cm in the past 7 days. Total settled snowpack heights 217cm or more in mid to upper riding elevations.

Today: Snow.  Moderate accumulation, possible 10 to 18 cm.  Snow level rising to between 1400 & 1700 metres late in the day.  Windy, possible blowing snow at times.  High 0 or 1. Tonight: Snow/rain, possibly heavy at times.  Snow level 1400-1700 metres.  Heavy accumulation above. Windy.  Low near 0.


GROOMING:

Corbin: Open. Groomed yesterday from staging area to McClatchie. Yesterdays groom was completed as part of our snowcat equipment move back from Coal Creek where were were doing mid-season cat maintenance. We’ll be working to tune up the trail further this week but had limited fuel on yesterdays pass (30cm of new snow on the road alone).

Coal Creek: Open. Groomed Coal Creek, Doug Dean, Summit Trail, and Matheson last night. Martin groomed yesterday.

Morrissey: Open. Morrissey Trail and McEvoy groomed last night. South Pipeline from Wranglers Cabin to the Notch groomed Friday.

Hartley: Open. Groomed Friday.

Ram: Open.
