March 7, 2026 FSA Grooming Report

CONDITIONS:

This morning temperatures are -0°C at cabin elevation with moderate winds. 2cm new snow overnight. Total snowpack heights are around 237cm. Variable conditions up to 1540m elevation. Upper staging now open at Coal Creek and Morrissey - please adhere to all posted signage. 

Today: Mainly cloudy.  60% chance of light rain, mainly during the afternoon. Windy, possibly strong at times.  High 5 or 6.

Tonight: Cloudy.  60% chance of occasional rain during the early evening. Rain late evening and overnight, possibly heavy.  Strong wind.  Low 2 or 3.


GROOMING:

Mar 7 Note: Short groom out Coal Creek and Morrissey last night as we had to use the snowcat to retrieve a vehicle that drove up and had become stuck on the trail. Trails were still in good condition with corduroy visible from grooming the night before.

Corbin: Groomed last night from the staging area to the McClatchie.

Coal Creek: Coal Creek groomed last night. Upper staging open - please follow all posted signage.

Morrissey: Groomed yesterday, tracks still visible. Upper staging open - please follow all posted signage.

Hartley: Groomed Feb 14. On hold for avalanche hazard.

Ram: Shelter open. No grooming.
