Mar 19, 2024 FSA Grooming Report


CONDITIONS:

-1C at cabin elevation, -1C at valley bottom this morning. Freezing line / snowline remains around 1490m but expect conditions to be changing rapidly with ongoing spring warming. 0cm new snow overnight. 8cm new snow in the past 7 days. Total snowpack heights in most riding areas 234cm. 

Today: Patchy fog possible during the early morning. Otherwise sunny with afternoon cloudy periods.  Increasing wind possible during the afternoon.  High 10 or 11. Tonight: Increasing cloud during the evening, 50% chance of flurries overnight.  Windy at times.  Low -1 or -2.


GROOMING:

Note: We are still grooming down to the staging areas. Spring melt-freeze conditions are here: expect patchy snow and gravel to about 1490m with icy conditions in the AM turning to slushy spring snow with afternoon warming. Conditions are still quite good above 1490m.

Corbin: Open. Groomed Friday from the staging area to Rain Gauge and Barnes.

Coal Creek: Open. Coal Creek, Doug Dean Trail, Summit Trail groomed last night.

Morrissey: Open. Morrissey groomed last night down to the first bridge.

Hartley: Open.

Ram: Open.
