Morrissey Set To Open Dec 25th

MORRISSEY TO OPEN ON DEC 25TH - BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP....

The FSA has work diligently this fall to restore access to backcountry recreation opportunities for our community and it's visitors. Corbin now open and groomed. Hartley open. Coal Creek ETA in early January. Morrissey to open Dec 25th with full grooming as noted on the attached map.

YOU play an important role in making this a success story.

  • Keep out of Coal Creek until it is ready and safe.

  • Observe 10km max / no rutting trail on the Morrisey temp bridge.

  • Do not block construction parking and material staging in the upper Morrissey parking lot. Use lower lot if full or hauling trailers.

We are ramping up staffing at our trailhead kiosks but wanted to get grooming and get riding areas open for you as soon as possible We are asking all trail users to support our efforts by purchasing your memberships or ONLINE DAY TICKETS ($25) as no trailhead staff may be on site to receive your day fees yet.

Again, help us make this crazy fall into a success story for organized snowmobiling across the province. This has been a difficult and very expensive endeavor and we need your support for success not only this season but so that we can continue to operate in the future as well.

A huge thank you to Fernie Wilderness Adventures for building and allowing temporary bridge egress for public snowmobiling through their private property.

Dec 22, 2021: 108cm of new snow in the past 7 days!
