Nestled deep within the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Fernie, BC is a historic mining town famous for receiving 29 feet of snow each winter. Our four-season resort community offers world-class amenities and outdoor adventures. Rich in legend, mountain culture, and personalities, Fernie is fully encircled by breathtaking alpine vistas and provides access to some of British Columbia’s most stunning backcountry just steps from downtown.

A true sledder paradise, Fernie offers an incredible amount of terrain suitable for every type of rider. The Fernie Snowmobile Association regularly maintains over 200 kilometers of groomed trails, five unique riding areas, three day-use warming shelters, and access to endless acres of wilderness ready for you to explore.
